You know that adage about "When life gives you lemons..."?
Well, life gave me vintage tablecloths.
I love vintage tablecloths... The bold colors, the lush fabric.
And since I had some old stained ones lying around the house (because I bought gobs of them years ago in the hopes of making something with them)... I made these potholders.
I don't know what to do with myself... I'm so giddy about using vintage cloths... I want everyone to have a piece of them, I guess.
And a little loop on the back in case one wants to hang it on the wall.
I think I have an addiction. But I don't want to know the cure.
Did I mention that I've also been making aprons?
I don't really use a pattern. I let the print dictate how it will turn out.
The straps and collar are standard size, though.
These make me want to bake an apple pie.
I'm considering putting them online in case people want to buy Christmas presents for their special ones. But for now, I'm enjoying making them.
Hush, now. Don't tell my kids I'm having this much fun.
